A wargame of area control
Battle for Noalea is a turn-based strategy game for two players. Each of you leads a faction and its hero, and you fight over one map for control of Noalea.
Settlements are the heart of it. They pay income every round, and only there can you build and recruit. Take neutral settlements, conquer your rival’s in battle, and turn every gain into stronger armies, upgrades and bigger settlements.
What makes it different
-
No dice, no luck
There are no dice and no random elements. A battle’s outcome follows from both players’ decisions, and the game shows it to you before you attack.
-
Nothing hidden
Both players see everything at all times: units, gold and crystal, upgrades, heroes and items. Every move can be worked out in advance.
-
Grow or strike
Expand your settlements, raise armies and unlock upgrades. Every turn is a choice between growing stronger and hitting first.
-
Online or hotseat
Challenge a friend online via Steam, or share one screen in hotseat mode. An in-game handbook explains every rule.
